Perry's Weekly Plugs

  1. I've started modeling 4 of our assets on the list. I'm trying to get a good start for our assets so I figured doing some of the models . Eventually I'll be able to have them textured too. For knowing what assets me and scott are doing I feel pretty good on the start of this project. My milestone had some more assets to my list but other than that I feel fine.

  2. What is the stage of process and how am I progressing? I've modeling 7 assets and 2 main characters.I've worked on making the splash screen for our game. I forgot to show you the progress before you graded this assignment my fault. I'm working on texturing our main character.

    Did I change my milestone? Yes my milestone did change a bit because I've added more assets to my list so my character suffered a bit.We decide on our asset list after giving you the document.


    How did I deal with the problem that came up?the only problem that I encounter was some of the computers on 3rd floor not having the dts exporter.

    What is working and what isn't working in the planning of our project? my models were just a bit off with the scale but then I fixed it and it still was messed up. I've been exporting my assets in the torque engine to make sure they work.

    Briefly describe any problems I'm having with this project? other than planning everything to have done on a certain time my problems have been pretty minor.

    Evaluate the project as a whole? as a group we have accomplished many things this term.I'm learning more things about modeling each time working on a asset. We try to help the others with problems if we can.

  3. What is the stage of process and how am I progressing? I fixed the unwrap for my boy character I wanted to make him look more casual.I made the old man model and texture this week too but still need to get better with unwrapping.I'm happy with the stuff I did for this week. I also made sure the models were scaled the right way.

    Did I change my milestone? No I stuck to everything I had planed for the milestone 3.


    How did I deal with the problem that came up? I had some help from another student to give me some helpful advice on fixing my texture for the boy model I worked on.

    What is working and what isn't working in the planning of our project? The mounting of the weapon is the thing that I'm having a problem with and I'm still trying to get it to work before the final project is done for next week.


    Evaluate the project as a whole? The game is looking great from every different angle. Jake is making unbelievable programming.Jordan has a cool looking level and me and Scott have made some cool assets for the game too.

  4. What is the stage of process and how am I progressing? I had to fix the model, skin it and fix the weapon mount with alot of hard work I finally got it done.

    Did I change my milestone? I had to unwrap the main character again and make his outfit look more casual. The old man's texture got rushed out and I wish I could have fixed it better.


    How did I deal with the problem that came up? I had a problem with skinning the character but I fixed that problem by staring at the screen for over 23 hours and listening to tutorials for 3 hours and got it to finally work right.

    What is working and what isn't working in the planning of our project? The animation of our main character would be nice to have done better.


    Evaluate the project as a whole? I'm proud of the hard work everyone of us did to make this game a success. I like to thank all of my team members for the extra work they did the night before great job guys.

  7. I cant't figure out how to say this. Everytime I read this last post of yours it makes me angry Perry. ALL of us spent hours upon hours upon hours working things out. If you were having problems with skinning, ask someone.

    Also, this post makes it appear as though YOU did the animation. On this project I kept hearing, "well my stuff is done". Thats NOT what we were thinking when we busted our butts to get the game together.

  8. You do your part let me get graded on my I didn't need the help its my grade to worry about. Nobody told anybody to change anything you guys did that on your own. So I'm not going to feel bad for anything because I did what I was going do.

  9. I am pretty sure that Jake wasn't posting this to make you feel bad. It was a post pointing out that we wanted to present a finished game. I feel that we still fell short of presenting a finished game, and it's because we fell apart in areas we needed to communicate better in. Hopefully in the future we will use time we have wisely, and spend time talking out situations rather than having to "fix" problems on an individual basis.
